Dr. Cara Brook will be joining the E&E faculty starting August 1, 2021. She was recently at University of California-Berkeley where her research involves the study of bats as reservoirs for emerging viral zoonoses, how bat viruses persist, and why bat viruses are so virulent.
Dr. Brook recently won two fellowships, a Loreal Women in Science Fellowship and a Branco Weiss fellowship from ETH Zurich.
We are eagerly awaiting Dr. Brook's arrival.
