In mid-August, E&E Professor Emeritus Jerry Coyne accompanied a nine-day University of Chicago Alumni trip to the Galápagos Islands, retracing the steps of Charles Darwin and giving two lectures to the group: one on the evidence for evolution and the other on Darwin's work on the islands. Jerry shared pictures from the trip of iconic animals from the islands, including the Magnificent Frigatebird, Blue-footed Booby, land iguana, and giant tortoise.
