New Faculty Lab Now Recruiting

Join Research at the Kreiner Lab to Understand Plant Adaptation in Changing Environments

Dr. Julia Kreiner will be joining the faculty of the Department of Ecology and Evolution in September 2024 and is now recruiting members to join her lab.

Currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Biodiversity Research Center, University of British Columbia, Dr. Kreiner is interested in understanding the adaptive dynamics underlying contemporary evolution of plants to human-mediated selective forces, from shifting land-use regimes and agricultural intensification to climate change. The Kreiner lab will apply cutting-edge genomic approaches to spatio-temporal data from experiments, the field, as well as museum and archeological data to characterize these patterns and processes.

The lab is recruiting at all levels—PhD Students, Postdocs, and a lab technician. To find out more about the lab’s research focus, visit the Kreiner Lab website. Potential candidates are also encouraged to be in touch with Dr. Kreiner at kreiner@uchicago.edu. Informal inquiries welcomed.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Kreiner and the new lab team in 2024!
